My God Dealerships Do Suck!

Ok, so heres the scoop. I dropped my 2003 WRX off at the dealer for its 22k. When i picked up at night (after hours) the car had paint chip on the rear door. Its just a paint chip, but its totally noticable. The paint is chipped on the edge of the door and on the sill of the body. So i called the Service Manager the next morning, and told him that i dropped off the car with no damage, and picked it up with damage. And his log concurs this, they do a walk through of the car before they start work on it and note damage. No damage was noted on my car. So i drove the car back to dealership and had the service manager look at the car, he immediatly tried to made it sound like i had closed something in the door. Never took responsiblity. He spent most of the time "trying" to be a damage expert. I could give a rats *** about HOW it happened, bottom line is, it was caused while AT the shop. So the lack of accountability on their part really pisses me off. Especially because ive been a customer for over a year. So, next step. He makes me go to their body shop. I had them take pictures and asked the guy how he thought it happened. He said it was hard to say, but very doubtful it was anything closed in between the doors (the paint damage is only on the outside of the door). So i wait 2 days, and the Service Manager from Suburu calls me with the report from the body shop. He says the body shop said it was most likely caused by something closed in the door, a seat belt most likely. An estimate of 400 dollars. Which REALLY pisses me off, because thats not what the body shop told me. The service manager tells me he'll do a 50/50 with me. So id spend 200 dollars to fix something i didnt cause. Now, this has me thinking that the body shop and the dealership are trying to squeeze me for money. Ugh. Goddamn dealership. Instead of just taking the high road and retaining a customer, they pissed off the wrong guy.
I got another quote and opinion of the damage by another body shop, and im going to get another. If it gets ugly, i call Subaru of America and really bitch....

Yeah. If you didn't do it you should take a stand.
The tires on my Tacoma were crap when I bought it, they tried to give me the run around for a few weeks and I finally called and told the service manager I was not accepting anything but new tires. They ordered and put on a brand new set of Michelins the next week.

My sister had her Prelude in a body shop after an accident and they left a 3" scratch on the fender...at the damn body shop!!! They already painted the hood and other fender...you'd think they'd just hide where they scratched it.
Good luck getting your car taken care of...
