My Dogs = Bums

took these a while ago but just found them on my hard drive lol. The one on the left was bred from two german short-hair pointers that are considered to be in the top 10 nationwide of german short-hair as far as hunting abilities and natural instincts and such are concerned. We could set him on point in the back yard, leave for a day, come back and he'd still be on point, until we give the release command. He'll be tracking down pheasant, quail, grouse, chukar, and the occasional rabbit. His name is tank, he's considered average size for his breed, is pure muscle, can jump vertically from the floor to my eye level if not higher (i'm 6'6"). He's pretty vicious when provoked but likes to chill and eat plastic soda bottles and stuff.
the one on the right is boomer, he's basically a giant lapdog. Also a german short-hair pointer we saved him from "destruction" after the breeder discovered he had a genetical defect which caused him to have hip displacia (basically where the ball and socket joints are in his hip, instead of a ball it is squared off, so it doesnt fit in the joint, he basically has permanent dislocations). due to that he can't hunt hardcore but he has a very good sense of hearing, and if it wasn't for his injury would probably be a great hunting dog. He grew abnormally large for some reason and would love nothing more then to lay on your lap, although he weighs a bit too much for it to be comfortable for you. We also think he has a weak jaw or weak teeth as he doesn't enjoy chewing on tough surfaces, but nevertheless will enjoy a soda bottle or such for hours. He also will not attack anyone, except for tank who's *** he kicks on a regular basis.
Anyway Boomer was born October 2000, tank was November 2001.
dunno why i typed all this but figured we'd have some dog lovers on here so i'd just throw this info out there. Oh and also boomer is considered a "pure" pure-bred german short-hair because he has a white coat and darker spots, where-as tank is considered an americanized pure-bred german short-hair because his coat is a bit off-white and his spots are more of a liver color, or the classifcations may be reversed, its too late to remember those little details lol.
and no they are not ******* dalmations, everyone asks me that.

oh and i forgot to add, neither has gone actual hunting yet although tank is currently in training via me, myself, and i, but they have managed to rack up some kills in the backyard:
1 squirrel
1 crow
1 rabbit
1 mole (we dont know why it was above ground, my dad says they go above ground when they are sick)
infinite number of giant spiders and these giant brown crickets, we actually had them going on point for these crickets when they were very yound
and we THINK 1 chipmunk but we couldnt tell from the remains, some fuzz.
the two of them work as like a swat team in the yard, they know the animal routes and will run them into the other in a perect setup play. they seem like artists in motion we they find a victim.
and just one other thing, boomer (on the right) WATCHES animal planet tv with us, he's attacked it more then once, but generally just sits and watches it, he moves his head to where the action is and everything, it's hilarious.

My friends cat loves watching GT racing on Speed Channel. Sits on the edge of the coffee table about 3 feet from the screen. Wasn't too interested in NASCAR, thank GOD! At least now when I go over I can watch racing on the 52" TV. Wasn't allowed to before, damn women! Once the cat showed interest though, it's allowed!

my aunt has one of those dogs. its a good dog but its stuck up. it doesn't get happy when you play with it or give it a treat
both of my dogs' happiest moments is when we say "want a treat", and boomer (the big one) would be happy if he just sat in your lap all day.
they're very playful, hell i dont thinki've seen tank get tired/bored of playing before one of us gets tired.
