Sounds like you better take care of that right away. HD's are really cheap now. I was looking at Monitors the other day. Seventeen inch flat screen CRT's for 99 bucks. Damn!

Mine went down at home yesterday also.I come home,its turned off,I am like what the fock.I turn it back on and the damn thing want boot up all the way.TRYS BUT WANT DO IT.I put the restore disc back in and had to erase the hard drive but she works fine now.

Came home, vacuumed th puter and it fired up!!!!

sometimes they need cleaning, unplugging everything and

plugging it back in like 5 times cleans the contacts too.



do it one a time.

most of the time its user error. :-p



and HD's dont usually just fail. Its usually something that causes it like something you downloaded, etc. And even then the HD didnt fail. When an HD fails the actual hardware breaks. In which case you can buy the same HD and just swap platters.
