are there any free ware programs out there that can rip VCD's from Mpg's and Avi files?

yes... I want to take all my south park episodes and rip them to VCD so I can watch them on the DVD player and so I can free up a couple gig off of the hard drive..

well, if they are in .mpg format, all you really need to do is use Nero to burn it as a vcd, it does the changing for you, though it just adds some folders, and empty files, and stuff like that, if it is in .avi format, you need to convert it to .mpg, for this, I believe you can use flaskmpeg, available free at sourceforge.org

Cool.. I'll try NERO as NTI Cd-maker 2000 pro seems to be having issues with writing to my CD-RW, well actually finding it.. hmmmm
