OK so now that the FCC has declared hat it's ok to say "****" on broadcast television, Comedy Central is once again pushing the limits of the rules by showing an un-edited version of the South Park movie. Let the festivities begin!!! Watch for the movie to play like every night from now on at like 1am, as I am sure Comedy Central will keep exploiting this new decision.

the fcc regulates channels like cbs, nbc, stuff that isnt cable..other channels have to make sponsors happy and channel execs. It was explained to be not long ago but I forgot all the fine points.

I know Comedy isn't regular broadcast (I'm a telecomm major), but it still generally follows the same rules, just for uniformity's sake. The FCC technically does regulate cable, just differently than they do over-the-air broadcast stations. The fact that over-the-air networks haven't started saying "**** **** ****" on a regular basis is definitely proof of their integrity, despite what other people say. As soon as I read the news in my trade journals, I was shocked as to their reasoning; they ruled that the word could be used as an adjective or as an insult, but not actually describing the act of sex, which -to me- was weird. But, oh well...Let's enjoy the loosening of our censorship laws so we can be more like the rest of the world.
