Girlfriend was out getting rock for our fountain and saw a very nice FC chassis (her words, I haven't seen it yet) in a junkyard, as it is a junkyard car I have little hope that it's even halfway doable, but I know some1 selling a TII driveline for 1k$...anything and everything (it was rolled, engine and such is still in good condition), so for about 2000$ (assuming I do most of it myself, and for broken parts that I know are gonna be there) i could have an turbo 7, assuming EVERYTHING is OK......I'm i fairly deep now, but if I borrowed the $$ I could pay it off PDQ......Lots of OT chances coming up soon, whattaya ppl think?

Missouri cars rust out? If you guys get dry weather i say look at it, i bet the chassis isnt too bad!

****, NJ cars are amazing looking compared to the **** we have here, new cars look like junk after a couple of years if they arent maintained with ****-like precision.

Cool

We have nasty road salt so it's a crapshoot, I don't/won't have time to go look at it till sunday more than likely gonna work 8-12 hrs OT on Sat.......If the chassis is OK, and there is still a motor in it, I may just try to buy the car and resuscitate it...since I don't currently know the status of the TII driveline (that offer was from about 6 months ago, AFTER i sold my N/A...), we'll see, and as for time, I will have my garage in a coupla months, so no time limit, I have my DD already, I'm gonna try and do this 7 right, no stupid stickers or exterior bling unless it's functional, a mild system inside (2 12" RF Punch's that are brand new, and a 1600watt SPL Competion amp and my Sony Xplod head unit more than likely)....Man, I'm afraid to even hope, every time I do, Lady Luck butt rapes me....

HAHAHAHA. Welcome to my world. I had a fine running FC, then.......BAM, blown rear rotor!! Time for rebuild. It is all good. I am just gonna build it to factory specs, and keep it as stock as possible.

Good luck with your project though.

Sounds good to me dude.

But look at the long run okay? Could you use that cash for something else more important than a car?

This is MY outlook.

My RX-7 is a playtoy, a means for me to relax. I do not depend on it as a daily driver, its not my sole source of transportation. The $$$ spent on it is "fun" money, not borrowed.

It took a lot of grief and heart-ache to get to this point. Back when I was younger, dumber and KNEW EVERYTHING, I owned a Toy Corolla with a 2TG w/ dual webers. It was a 12:1 Compression daily driver. Lots of CC debt and grief went into that. Burned me out on cars for quite a while.

Take a little tidbit of advice from Grumpy old BANZAI, get a nice dependable Daily Driver and build /treat your RX-7 as a PLAYTOY

I don't think i'll ever own a dependable DD, I drive too hard for that, if I get just the chassis, I won't have to borrow any money, the driveline from the TII was gonna be the expensive part, and if I find out he still has it, I may just ask him to hold it and just save up, my g-friend organizes all my bill week to week so I'm not gonna be in debt, as all the money i would use towards it would be unbudgeted, and there isn't really anything else i need to buy, my yard and fountain are done, both of are cars are running good, my TV wil be payed off next week.....We'll see how bad the chassis is first....
