After you got the thing running, converted it over to manual, fixed the bumper, the interior, the paint, who knows what works and doesnt work being as the car doesnt drive ( brakes, rear, electronics) and hope you can clear the salvage title which I would imagine is even harder when the car is from out-of-state, you might as well buy one that doesnt need as much. Now if you figure on fixing this one up over a few years, maybe thats different.

Once it has a salvage titel you can never get it cleaned up, the only effect it will have is when or if you go to trade it in. I have a 97 ford aspire my wife drives. For a good titel it's worth about $3200 (lo miles) for the same car with a salvage titel it's worth around $400 to a dealer.

Ok, just took a look at the link. I don't see any reason it would have a salvage titel. Didn't read anything just looked at the pix, was it wrecked befor? I understand it has no moter but that wouldn't give it a salvage titel........

If you find a person willing to pay something for it it's worth it to them. I'm just saying to a dealer it's not worth nothing and it's just one more reason they can chew you down. Personally I would rather sell a car privatly than trade it in. But I agrea with you.
