Well my girlfriend/wife totaled her pos escort and its time to buy something else. And since there is really nothing I like that anyone has to offer, and buying another fd is out of the question i've decided to go with a mini. I found out that they discontinued the old body style in 2000 and one i'll be looking at in Georgia is a 99 with only 6k miles on it. There are a few others i'll probaby check out, all of which have been completely refurbished and look sweet as hell. Heres a pic to show you guys if you've never seen them.

Those are real Minis, not BMW want-to-be MINI's! Nice looking cars, but where are you finding '99 USA spec Mini's?

actually the new ones took the "S" symbol. The old ones with the faster engines and tuned suspension were "Cooper". They had the regular mini, and the mini cooper. Named after John Cooper who got a morris mini and hooked it up to race. They have won many races in europe back in tha day.

I have been talking to a few different people here recently about these. Just got lucky and stumbled across this 99, here are some pics of it. I'll be arranging to get it this week hopefully, has a price tag of $14,500. Not bad considering i've seen them as high as 25k. Texasminis.com will built them in show condition with just the basic options for $16,500. This particular one i'm looking at has the new 1.3 litre fuel injected motor.

Theres about 5 tooling around town here. I've been in one and their not that bad, it would be a pretty good daily driver, just don't get hit by a big truck.
