Lexus Sc400, New Daily Driver?

That 4.8 has 270hp, you consider that weak? Give me a break. That's a lot of power to push around a little short box 2wd. My 96 has 255hp and it moves a long pretty quick for a 4x4. He also got 27mpg with it on a road trip which is 10 more mpg than mine got on the freeway. On the interior you are right, my trucks interior sucks. It looks fine but it creeks just looking at it. I'll have to check out his truck before I lay any cash down.
I'm still on the fence though, on one hand you have a bad *** car to get me to work and back and on the other there is a truck that can get me to work without busting my wallet and it can haul ****.

Also they didn't come with LSD maybe the ones on the other side of the world with the 2.5T does?
Maintenance isn't all that big of a deal, it's just like any other car. I've done my own since I started driving. Even if I do run into something that I can't figure out I know a guy that works at Lexus.

I've never checked in to the technical stuff on that engine, I've just driven a couple of them, and they feel weak to me. Thats just the seat o the pants meter though. It may be the tranny or rear end gearing.
If you want a great truck, find either a 00 or 01 toyota tundra, or a clean t-100. The t 100 is a little underpowered, but you won't kill it. The tundra is complaint free. I love mine. (03 access cab v8)

Were they 4x4's that you drove? That would explain, it's amazing how much of a difference there is between 2wd and 4wd.
I'd love a tundra but I'm looking to spend under 10k. T-100's are underpowered, you got that right. A 3.4 V-6 doesn't belong in that truck hmmm..... maybe a 4.0 lexus engine would fit right in there

there is one t-100 running around somewhere with the tundra's 4.7 in it. The lexus 4.0 would be a fun one in that light of a truck. .
I think one of the trucks I drove was 4x4, and one was DEFINITELY 2wd. Even the 2wd felt slow. I dunno. I think I've just been spoiled with the rx7 and the tundra. tundra is FAST for a truck.
