So do you guys think the record companies are gonna sue everybody with music on there comp? I was thinking they were going after people who are sharing gigs of stuff. I would be considered small fish, so I should be ok. Right?

god.. that would be one hell of a lawsuit... and I really dont see how they can do that.. I have a lot of MP3's that I made form CD's that I bought. I just dont feel like swapping CD's every time I want to listen to a new song..

they sued some college kid who was "small time" not some mega gig user for his life savings of $12,000.



they're out to set examples of people.



the way they catch you is they have names and send files out, you play the files it sends them your info, they list you. it's pretty much invasion of privacy, i give it 2-3 months before some good lawyer figures out a proper counter-suit against the RIAA and this whole thing goes under and is forgotten.
