insurance scam

lets say that one day i leave my car parked outside my garage and "somebody" decides that they want to steal my flip up dvd player and

soundsystem from my car.would they have to somehow break into my car to get the insurance money or could the windows be left down by "accident"

not saying that i hope stuff gets stolen from my car to purchase a t-78...

As long as you have the items claimed in your plan. I would go for the windows up though... Just say they popped the lock.

Yeah, make sure the items that get "stolen" are known by your insurance provider.

Otherwise they can give you a hard time, as well as what They think the value shoud be. . not what you actually paid!

They only cover stock items of your car. Add ons such as stereo equip has to have its own seperate "rider" policy......but its usually not expensive

i have the bose stereo system.wat if that got jacked?that comes from the factory?

Then they'll replace it with the same factory Bose equipment. At least that's how my policy works. BTW, anyone want to hit my truck? I could use the extra cash. Engines ain't cheap.

HMMMM... Not my policy. I have mine through USAA. My aftermarket stereo system was stolen 3 times. The insurance company replaced it all 3 times with whatever I wanted as long as it was of equal value to my previous equipment new. I didn't ahve to have any special coverage either. But I do carry full coverage.
