I want to buy a cell phone/pda
#1
Birthday is coming up. I got a new phone not that long ago, but recently I've realized that I could really use a pda. I used to have one, it made my life so much easier (I forget everything, I can't remember ****). But I always hated carrying around a palm pilot in addition to a cell phone, so now I want the 2-in-1 thing. The cheapest pda or blackberry phone from verizon starts at $299.99, new.
I called Verizon, they say I can use any previously used phone as long as it was previously used with Verizon.
So currently I'm looking at several auctions for the Samsung SPH i700. Other auctions are for new phones, or "free phones when you sign up...", all the ones that fit my requirement just happen to be the same phone, this samsung.
Anyone have any experience with this phone, buying used cell phone, or know of any other pda phones that fit my needs?

kevin.
The suit has been taken care of so the BBs are going to stay....I currently have the BlackBerry 8700c and it rocks for me being a system admin. Lots of 3rd party apps..
I think if you want expandability with a windows platform the Trio is the way to go.
The blackberry is strictly a communications / work tool. They don't even sell them with cameras.
I dig the **** out of mine. Can surf and post on the forum with the full web browser and mail comes right to it. No need to physically log in and check.
I have remote desktop loaded on my 8700c and I was able to take monday off from work and go bowling with 94t and it was possible because it seemed like I was working out of my home to my company. IM, e-mail, full access to the work PC.
