I posted a couple of ads in the Cars for Sale/Wanted and Parts for Sale/Wanted sections for parts for my GTU. They've seen little viewing, so I thought I'd post here about my situation.



On the 28th of September, my car was hit by a Cadillac in Burlington, WA. I've since had two body shop extimates; one for $4600 and one for $5160. Most of the money is for parts cost: for example, $658 for the bumper cover, $589 for the bumper impact bar, $818 for the hood, and $347 for the right fender. Needless to say, those costs are ridiculous. Also, many of the smaller internal parts in the bumper need to be replaced. The car itself cost me $4000 dollars, so paying $4600-5100 for a full rebuild is not going to happen. The unfortunate thing is that there were no witnesses at the scene and the other guy is lying to his insurance company, so I will probably be stuck with the bill.



Here's where you guys come in. If ANY of you, especially in the Washington and Oregon region can find a Series 5 RX-7 with the front end intact, either as a parts car or in pieces, let me know immediately. I'm certain that there must be somewhere that a parts car for less than $1000 can be found. Better yet, if you personally have the parts I need, and can let them go cheaply, let me know.



I know that you guys are all very savvy individuals as far as something like this would be concerned, and I appreciate ANY help you can give.
