Thumbs down

Yeah, the deal is that i was traveling down the road and i slid my car around a turn and a cop saw me do it. He told me " what the heck was i thinkin ". He gave me a ticket for careless drivin. My age is 17. I just got my rx-7 that is white, it is a 1987 n/a automatic. If u can help me with some way to lie to the court to get out of this ticket or get rid of the points some how, i would greatly apreciat it.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Help me with this problem if anyone can. I really need help. Also, this is my first ticket if it has anything to do with it.

go to court and say how this is your first ticket...you have a clean record...and that you just got the car and you arent used to it yet, you took a turn at the normal speed but since you were used to a different layout (say you learned to drive on FWD or AWD) and not a RWD layout, you lost a little control of the car and you made the corrections and wound up staright - and very shocked

that would work...got me out of that situation before...im 17 too and that was my first ticket

Don't lie.

Pay the ticket, take a driving school course - do it online. It's simple and easy.

No biggie.

yea you could tell the truth....but that puts points on ur license....

i wound up not getting points....and just paying the fine....just ask if you could do that

for 17 year olds, 2 or 3 extra points on ur license (making a total of 4 or 5) for the next 3 years isnt too fun...especially for the ones who pay their own insurance like me

so the less points i have the more happy i am, so i will lie if i gotta

i still dont understand careless tickets.

if i show that i have control over the situation, and there is NO one around, except for mr.cop hiding in the bushes, how is it careless?

it's more like a risk, with a handicap in your favor, only if you have control.

those people that whip around corners and dont know what counter-steering is, or just get lucky are careless.

when i take a 15mph turn at 60mph on a road that i swear im the only car thats been on it in about 15 years since the company went bankrupt and drift around it, it isn't careless, it's skill and practice.

oh and i hate cops :edited out due to risky content:

Did you not read?

Tell truth, pay ticket, go to driving school. Your points are off your license.

You lie, you don't LEARN your lesson......
