Can any of you help me ...I need a host ...for an Ultima Online shard.....Im not making no money off the game ,..and it will be put out in public for free....so the cost of a Host cant be so much cause I will be paying out of my pocket..with others..



I need a connection of t1 or better ..cause this is a online game that can hold up to 350 players online///



im workin on some scripts..and building it now...this game is based on the most popular online role playing game

talk to phinsup, when he gets back from vacation, he is da man with da bandwidth, I could talk to some people for you, but they are usually pretty stingy with their Bandwidth, so I don't know about cheap....

Phinsup runs Linux, most of the UO emulators are Win32 based alltho there was one Linux one for a bit, it was a port of...oh heck I don't remember it's been to long since I dealt with it. Dunno if it went anywhere.



I did some scripting on one once. It was intresting.

I think POL is linux compatable......but I only know how to script Sphere...dam anyways thanx...



@BigTime ...Do you know anything about UO?Im not talking about OSI/Orgin UO....

I don't remember what it was we were playing around with, I knew one of the guys who developed it back when we all hung out on Test Center on the REAL UO.



Back before TC became SET PK = 1000 and stuff

A T1 is NOT bandwidth. If you are looking to host with someone ask them if they have redundant connections and make sure they are at least T3's.... providesite.com (nopistons.com) is on 3- Gigabit Connections, one OC3 and one DS3, that's pretty decent redundancy



Like I say even if you don't go with me for a host e-mail me with what you need and I can give you some things to look for.
