So I can get teenage girls to drop their panties by offering them a ride in my go-kart?

out-of-balance wont cup your tires....alginment does that...or bad suspension parts.

Ok... If he is serious, let me explain..
First, cupping occurs because the tires are moving side to side. Yes, bad suspension could also cause cupping, alignment? Maybe...
But most common cause is mis-balanced or out of balanced tires. Why, Well, most people who balances the wheels aren't well trained and just sticks weights where the machine tells them too. That leads to wheel balancers.. there are many many different balancers out there... and they also need to be calibrated regularily.
Most wheels need weights on both side of the width of the wheel. When you go wider and wider, its slightly harder to balance it because its requires more precise measurement.. Think of it as centrifuge (I work in a lab). If top and bottom are balanced differently, it will also cause a wobble.
In my situation, the wheels have weights outer (exterior) side of the wheels but lacks inside (interior) side. Also, they have used way too many weights to balance it and I just can't see dynamically, just needing one side to balance a 10.5inch wide wheels. Also, cupping of my tires show, only occured inside of the tires.. Which clearly shows wheels weren't dynamically balanced..
But if it was the suspension, Bad suspension will cause movement of the tires. It will most likely not just wear tires inside of the tires (mine have it on all 4 wheels and tires) but likely both inner and outer side of the tires.
Alignment?? Well, alignment just determines toe in/out, camber in/out, and thats pretty much it. I dont know how bad alignment will cause all four tires to cup. If its off, than I would see wears inside and out.. Not cupping....
Also, bad suspension will also likely create feathering instead of cupping.

i remember the really early nsx's had some special tire, and some weird suspension geometry to take advantage of that, as i recall, the rear tires were lasting around 10,000miles.
maybe they show odd wear quickly?

I havent met any North American Nsx owners, only Japanese Nsx owners, and they are seriously hardcore about their cars...
For lots of those guys, their first mod is an aftermarket gear set and a stroker motor with a 20 k price tag, they make us look pretty cheap when you consider we usually start with a fuel pump and an ignition box.
