Got a ticket coming home on Thanksgiving after work. I had a headlight out. I was like 1 mile from my gf's house. He didn't even give me a warning, is not like I go thru there everyday with a headlight out. It would of been a difference story if he had seen me a few other times, is small town and I go thru it all the time. I was like 1 am and he probably was bored.

Funny thing is he followed me for an 1/8 mile up my *** and then decide to flash his lights.

Is like 44 bucks and is not worth fighting because court fees are probably about that.

I happen to be a good little driver that night, not speeding or being stupid.

Bring a reciept to court for a headlight...you might even get the court fees dropped...I have in the past.

BTW, what town was it in?

Yeah, in NY you just have to bring your car to a police station and show them you fixed the light. Then you just have them sign something and get ther ticket thrown out.

Really, Don't even know if I saved my receipt. I'll probably have to go to court or would the clerk take care of it?

Oceanport, NJ; unique.

The Syracuse traffic judge, who is by FAR the coolest judge I've ever met, believes people when they tell him stuff. You could tell the judge you got it fixed and if he wants proof, bring someone outside and show them. I went in for a no front plate ticket and he said: "What do you want to do about this?" I said: "Well, the car has a plate on it now." (I didn't even have the car with me that day) He said: "Dismissed" No questions asked.
