they send a worm virus like a buddylist.exe or backdoorgen13 virus that sends itself to everyone on the buddylist so the people assume its okay since its from a screename they recognized so when u open it and double klick it nuffin happpenz. Then the virus is released which searchs the win.ini files for all computer passwords. Inscribed in the virus is a email adress hidden inside the program. you can find this email adress by using hex workshop to find the email adress. Then u use hack tracer, u input the ports and the ip adresss and it will triangulate there location and tell u where theyre at then u can report it to aol and they will catch those bastards

also the big thing isn't really getting the AOL passwords, people only take those to **** around with nowadays and provide a nuisance to the original user. THe main goal of such things is to obtain credit card info, which even nowadays some people make accesible via their AOL accounts.
Also most aol "hackers" don't use aol at all, it's justAOL users are the easiest targets. Back in the day of the Sub7 Trojan you can scan the mainly used IPs of aol accounts and get a hit of the sub7 trojan virus on almost every IP, that's why they get picked on. kevin. |
