[quote name='phinsup' date='Aug 31 2005, 12:44 AM']If you read my post, you'll notice I said two things.... we use our oil AFTER we use foreign sources ( i didn't say we NEVER use our oil) and that there are wells capped in Alaska that have never been touched, i didnt say EVERY well in alaska was capped and untouched. Love the smart ass statement, just too bad it didn't make much sense https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png Breaking it down into something a little easier to understand, it's like saying "he's a tightwad, he never spends a dime." See we know that he has to spend something otherwise he wouldn't have a house, eat or survive, but figuratively speaking the person would rather "forget his wallet" and have you buy then pay.

Like Pete said there is no quick solution, whatever you do now won't have an immediate effect on oil prices.... assuming it ever does. The Alyeska Pipeline which is the pipeline that moved oil from the North Slope to prince william sound is already built, in fact it's the pipeline the afformentioned vessel was gathering oil from, the pipeline is capable of carrying 2 million barrels of oil DAILY and has been operational since the mid 70's.

What bush will do is release the oil and have the oil companies pay it back with interest to the reserves..... if he releases the reserves. It's pretty much a joke at this point, gas co's know the usage doesn't change no matter what they charge, so why worry about keeping the prices down?

Oh, ok I understand. Kinda like how I can NEVER touch my penis. But still use it.

word.

93 R1 08-31-2005 12:41 PM

They said on the radio this morning that the gas companies are making a 900% profit and some ******* just got a 39 million dollar BONUS for it

Dramon_Killer 08-31-2005 12:45 PM

not surprising.

l8t apex 08-31-2005 12:51 PM

Phins is right. The cost to pay American workers and health benifits and pay the animal right/ecology law suits and **** is what make it cheaper to import than to go into FULL domestic production.THe cost of domestic production is more expensive. Same guy complaining about cost of gas and save the animals is the one bitchin about not making a enough money and having the extra benefits........

Want it both ways, big lifestyle and not pay for it. That why foreginors can make $14 a month , no homes , no OSHA and like it! We buy their oil.

Dramon_Killer 08-31-2005 12:57 PM

ooh, gas is expensive.

Just dont drive. Carpool.

Plan out your driving better.

Wow, that makes it 3.31 for premium for my RX8!

That blows...

Guess I'll be busting out my Grandpa's 88 Honda 250cc Scooter...Woot!

nismo convert 08-31-2005 01:38 PM

Stop stealing our gas, you HOSERS. gas is now 1.23.9 a FREAKING LITER. how ever I paid 109.9, It's days like to day I wish I was boinking a native chick.

94touring 08-31-2005 01:39 PM

1.23.9? Is that even a number?

nismo convert 08-31-2005 01:41 PM

ONE DOLLAR, TWENTY-THREE, POINT 9 OR 9/10th's. ******* bonehead American.

94touring 08-31-2005 01:44 PM

That would be 1.239 not 1.23.9. There is only one correct way to use the decimal system, and aparantly canadians have another way.

nismo convert 08-31-2005 01:47 PM

Your damn right we do, ******* Yankees.

cps87rx7se 08-31-2005 02:56 PM

All over Albany it is scattered from as low as 2.85 a gallon (87 oct), all the way to 3.11 a gallon. This is ******* rediculous.

Apollorx7 08-31-2005 03:35 PM

its 3.00 for regular and i just paid 3.45 for 93oct in jersey

boxrs4sale 08-31-2005 03:42 PM

A good rule of thumb, anything that uses fuel, energy stocks, etc... are bad investments.

If you want my opinion for what little it's worth, financial analysts are predicting some VERY tough times ahead. Time to invest in something tangible, land, your own house, etc.... stick enough money aside to pay the taxes on these things and get ready for a ride.

banzaitoyota 08-31-2005 05:23 PM

The Colonial Pipeline http://www.colpipe.com/ab_map.asp

is dry, no power to run the pumps in LA. The Terminals it serves (95 million Gallons per day) are running dry. I saw prices go from 2.39 this AM at 7 AM to 3.09 at 5 PM.

Luckily I was able to top off the BIO-Diesel Tanks, I have 130 gallons of Fuel, hopefully that will get me thru the pipeline crisis

Dramon_Killer 08-31-2005 05:26 PM

i'm gonna fill the tank in my 7.

psyclo 08-31-2005 10:32 PM

I'm going to buy a bike and tear apart the 7.

Eric Happy Meal 09-01-2005 01:04 AM

its about 2.99 here, ive seen three gas stations with that price, and the news showed a pic of a sign with 2.99. but dont go bragging about how much better your getting it than us, because weve had higher prices than you guys for a LONG ass time.

like i said, the gov' needs to find a way to regulate gas prices.

Dramon_Killer 09-01-2005 02:23 AM

weird, you guys are only 10 cents more than us.

Comitatus 09-01-2005 09:03 AM

Just jumped from 3.09(yesterday) to 3.39(this morning) !!

Great...4.00 here we come...

Eric Happy Meal 09-01-2005 04:49 PM

i found a 2.87 today https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/boink.gif

89 Rag 09-01-2005 05:39 PM

Exxon/Mobil reports 7.2 billion dollar profit...and we have to wait in a ******* line around the block to pay 2.99 for super, greedy ******* bastards!

If I were a diesel owner, I would be livid that the lesser-refined fuel costs almost the same as super at the pumps, bio-diesel is right, and it smells like fried chicken out the exhaust.

Where are these propane conversion kits for rotaries that I have been hearing about?
