Alright I got into this big dicussion. Does Ford own mazda. Does any one have good evidence to prove this.

They are the single largets shareholder and their people are on Mazda's board of directors...

mazda is still operates on their own but not entirely..

the 6 is an example of a joint effort..

 

Old ford YBM motor (from the sierra cosworth 4wd rally car) headgaskets are interchangable with miata headgaskets. The ford probe and the mazda mx6 share the same platform and driveline.

ford owns like 1/3 of mazda from what i remember. Someone told me they might own a lil more now but i havnt checked that out. But i do know that mazda has sole control of the rotary section of mazda development but they still have to get fords approval. But i dunno, mazda still does what they been doing i think fords just helping them make more money so ford can make more money.



So yes Ford owns shares of Mazda.

The mazda tribute has a ford motor if im not mistaken. pretty positive though.



THe ford probe chasis says "Built by Mazda For Ford" if my memory serves me correct.

Hey who owns Porsche does VW own em. I know the Toureag uses a porsche engine and they have the same unit frame. So who owns who. Does anyone own BMW. I hope not. I think BMW are better luxury cars then benz. Since Diemaer Chrysler took over they dont look the same and there whack!!.
