So im 19, no credit history AT ALL, at my job almost a year. I have a co-signer, works in corrections blah blah makes a fair amount of money and has been a qualified cosigner on loans for cars and atv's in the past.

I cant get approved for a loan.....with one exception. My personal bank, Colonial FSB (whom i strongly dislike, might change it), wants me to give them 15%.....holy ****.

Most lenders are rejecting me because the car is over 7yrs old (93 FD). Where did you guys go for your automotive loan? I live in South NJ.

The problem is, my mustang is wrecked (not my fault, guy slammed on his brakes at 50mph to make a turn into where i work last minute. With cars parked on the road, nowhere to go i totaled it. Just glad it wasnt an FD yet) and i need a car. I dont want to get a car that isnt what i loathe for, which is my FD.

Any ideas? Just for an idea i have tried:

Lendingtree

Eloan

Citi Bank

Capital One Auto

Wachovia

Good luck man!

5/3 Bank goes back 10 years and that is a far back as I have seen. You could angle for an unsecured loan but your lack of credit history would prolly hold you back.

If you are totally desperate (i don't really recomend this) try a credit card with zero APR for 1 year then float your balance to another zero APR card before they rape your butt with big black unlubricated interest!

If he doesn't have any credit, how is he going to get approved for a card with a $10,000+ limit?

Try a credit union. It was a bitch to get my first 2 car loans. Co signers really don't mean anything now days.

Maybe try to get your parents to finance it for you. Just until you can build some credit. Good luck bro.
