So I went out drag racing today with my friends and my friends unlce and his friend (owner and driver of car). It was my virgin trip to a drag strip so it was a pretty badass first time. The car we were with is a 1965 dodge, had a 470ci MOPAR big block naturally aspirated with no NOS, putting about 900 ponies to the ground. I now have a new appreciation for big block V8's.



Getting loaded up this morning, about 65 degrees outside Going to be a awesome day!

First run of the day....just a measly 9.8@135mph

 

Line4d up with a Busa...the bike ran a 9.3@150 something and the Dodge ran a 9.71@137mph. They were shooting for 9.6 today, but they didnt get it. Eliminations started so we went home.

 

This Mustang ran an 8.9@160 something...was ridiculously fast.

So all in all it was a pretty fun day. We will definetly be going back there, especially since every other thursday night is Import night. I will definetly post pics of that when we goes.
