I was wondering why people steal pics off other peoples

web pages and call them their own, and then post a lower

price knowing damn well that they cant beat the price of where

the stole the pics? Anyone know why this is?

I borrowed some ideas as when I was getting started. I must

have looked at 30 web pages in the US, to get some ideas for

USER Agreements and set-ups, but I NEVER stole any pics, words

and or ideas and call them my own.

So does anyone know why this is?

People can be lazy scum. Human nature. I can't explain why, but that's how it is.

Cuz it's easy and very few ppl will do anything about it.

Someone told me MB Autosport jacked my car's pix for their replica GT-C bumper and plastered their logo all over the pix as if it's their exclusive pix. http://www.mbautosport.com/product_categor...dlid=12&yr=1993

http://www.mbautosport.com/productVariatio...Images/2975.jpg

So I emailed them saying they did not ask permission for the use and it's misleading since I have the authentic kit WITH the lens covers. They replied with "how do I know it's your car and you just aren't trying to get money from us." Then I sent them my webpage w/ more pix proving ownership...they never replied and to this day, still use the pix on their site. Too easy and what can anyone do easily to prevent such abuse?

yeah I hear you man. Its prettty sorry..

I just was thinking like about J-specs car, and others i see

and I would just think Businesses would have a little more

respect then that.

I didnt mention the web page, but I took hand done pics of

the catalog since my scanner wasnt working so the pics have

these weird lines, so I can tell them apart EASILY from any other

pics, so I just think its kind of cheese.

So what these people are saying is they know they can get the

best price, but they have never seen one, except whats on my web

page...hummmmmmm weird..... haha oh well...

If you copyright the content on your site then it is protectible. Pay a lawyer $50.00 to write you a cease and decist letter. This will tell them to remove the content or you will take further action. In this particular case it would be fairly easy to prove damages as the other party is claiming to undersell you with your pics.

Anyhow that is what I would do.

It may be because they don't even physically have or ever have seen in person the item they are trying to sell. Instead just threw togather a website and are trying to sell things the just get the drop shipped or something like that.

I ran into a sitution like that when buying my C-west light kit... for VERY few vendors does "yes, it's in stock" actually mean they have it at a given location and can ship it..

(sorry about the mini-rant)
