yea, that might be right. i dont know how much it weight for sure I just remember that the 3rd gen trans is pretty damn hard for one person to carry but I can carry it myself. The 2nd gen trans seemed much lighter than the 3rd gen. I've never actually weighed any of them.

Use the jack and it wont matter what it weights.....unless its like 3 tons haha

hmm, how hard is it to rebuild a tranny for one of these cars? Mine is starting to head south, and if I can pick up an old one from a junkyard and rebuild it, so I can swap them out, it would be good, (can't do it to the one in the car now, can have the vehicle down for that long)

Thumbs up

it really doesnt grind too much, basically just a couple times until the tranny fluid is warm, i have five quarts of amsoil(50 bucks) and cant wait to use it, i think the shifter needs new bushings? too perhaps but i dunno, i will definately get the flywheel resurfaced, i just don't wanna do all this work and find out later i have a fucked tranny,it only has 80,000 miles on it now and for the most part it was an easy 80,000 miles, except for the occasion when i drop the clutch(only did that 3 times now) or race those puny sohc civics, hehe i always give em a lil head start,i know im an *******,lol o well
