Since I am in Charlotte today, this came up during lunch. I surmised that NASCAR has Dale E.'s Car and body in preserved storage and they will unviel it as the ultimate shrine to the INtemidator. The conversation further digressed into what it would take to get into Dale Earnhardt Heaven, Chris said if you tattoo'd a "3" on the head of you dick, that would pretty much gurentee entry. I told him that that would only get him into the short track events. Cathy jabbed right back with: nope, he only races dirt tracks

Wouldn't that be some **** if they had his corpse in storage waiting to put it on display.

Rag, I would agree with your statement 15 years ago; but not today. NASCAR has evolved from a Racing Venue into an Entertainment Venue (Think WWF). I dont get the enjoyment watching now that I did 25-20 years ago. The new emphasis on sponsers is particuliarly disheartening to old-school style fans.

Well yeah, but not all of us were privlidged enough, or breathing even to watch some of the great races, Yarborough vs. Petty, the Earnhardt vs. Waltrip battle etc. Restrictor plates have kinda made the races too close but, still good stuff once the green flag drops.

That's too damn funny. Just yesterday my brother and I were talking about NASCAR and I told him it's just like professional wrestling. Entertainment, not real racing. He says there's plenty of evidence that NASCAR brass picks the winners. It's fixed!
