I just picked up an Ibanez bass with a crate b160XL 15" amp.

I went to a studio tonight with some friends who are really good (drums, lead, and an acoustic).

I wanna learn so bad.

Anybody have any tips or even better, any videos? I can have my friend show me a little something but i need something to do when i am bored and not receiving formal lessons.

 

I do, but not well! Just picked it up again after a looong break.

I've been playing 6 string for like 7 years though..

 

I played bass before! In high school!



Yep, learned 1 note and gave up after playing it five times (crapily) in the song Barbarah Anne.

my co worker plays bass, he is trying to get another one...all he does is look online at bass guitars...he said they some type of guitar out here in korea

Guitar is mo' better, but if you can do one...the other comes easily.



Just pratice....alot. That is the only way to get good. If you are playing with good people it can be discouraging, but it will make you so much better

 

yeah last night they were all just jammin away, and in my head i knew exactly what had to be done, notewise anyway.

i just couldnt put it down on the bass and it was killing me.

i guess i am just gonna lock myself in my room for the next couple months and practice.
