Another 52 Billion Approved Today
#1
So I pose these questions and don't get me wrong I agree that money is needed to help these people however....
1) Is FEMA really the group of retards we want handling over 60 billion dollars?
2) Since FEMA is getting the money, shouldn't something be done to monitor, some sort of approval process, something to make sure this money gets to the people and not the arabian horse association or something similar?
I think now is the time to cut FEMA out of the loup, they have caused more then enough heartache and damage, giving them 52 million is like giving a guy on death row an uzi 1 lb of cocaine.

[quote name='Battyboy' date='Sep 8 2005, 11:50 PM']Hey I just read this on CNN.

Something tells me we'll be seeing less and less of "brownie".
Although I honestly hope a serious look is taken at FEMA and the need for it's existance, once things are back on track.

We would like to take this moment to thank each of you for removing the extremely large population of mulitple generation Federal subsidised
survivors from the New Orleans area @ acost of $2,000.00 per per household.
Assemilation to their new environment and lack of more personal income will reduce the amount of recitivism to the area.
However,
Years of pleading to have Federal taxes from oil revenues to rebuild the hurrican protection islands and land went unheaded. it will now come from every person in the country both in taxes in higher gas prices.
Thats just to remove damage not to fix the problem.
The problem will be address with additional billions more because the Mississippi River is too important to the country's economy, the location of S.O.R.'s and the largest ports in the gulf.
Sorry we bitched for the 20 years and the government wanted top keep the tax revenue for other enviro projects.
