Almost Ran A Traffic Cop Over This Morning
#1
Here's the setup: Two lane road going each way. I'm in the right lane headed to the hwy onramp. The traffic cop is standing in my lane (right) and waving everyone to turn right onto a side road, but i cannot see him untill the last minute because of a truck blocking my view. The left lane is allowed to go straight, which is the way I need to go.
He's telling me to turn right, and I try to change lanes to go into the left lane so I can go straight. He decides to step infront of my car, and I now haveto swerve back into the right lane to avoid hitting him. The road was wet, and my tires sqeeled a little.
He didn't look very happy about what happened, and I thought I may have seen him reaching for his radio.
What should I do?
I thought about calling the non-emergency phone nubmer to my towns police station, and saying I was sorry for almost running this guy over. If they are looking for me, wouldent they tell me then?
Any advice?

A little more supportive huh? How 'bout..
Don't let it get you down man, i'm sure you'll get him next time. A little more practice and you'll get him for sure!

**** them they can't do a damn thing! the pig should have know not to step in front of your car if you were trying to go strait. it's his fault! he was there to direct lanes, and if you were trying to change lanes that isn't his damn business. next time you see a cop think of this puts things into perspective....
