I added a page to the "Member Rides" section of the site. Let me know if you would like to get some info and pics up there.

Thanks

Thumbs up

I like the idea. How do I get my info on there? Might be an idea for the future to set it up so that we can edit our own cars info, if it's possible.

Well at this point you have to send me the info an pictures and let me know of any changes you want. The only other option is to sign up for on of the free sites (which I posted the url to in a previous message) and you canmake changes and build your site as you please, just let me know if you getone so I can put a link up in the members ridees to your site.

Hmmm... I'm thinking of another angle on the whole "free webpage"/"Members Rides" idea.

Members that already have web pages have the "WWW" link/button in their profile. Would it be possible to set up the "Members Rides" as a database that would track all the sites used for the "WWW" buttons, and compile them with the members' user names from the same profile?

In other words, the database could borrow the user name (i.e. NOTA V6, not Jim Linnihan), and create a button or link on the "Members Rides" page that leads to the same URL entered as their "WWW" site?

Kind of a compilation of both worlds would be possible this way. Those with existing sites wouldn't have to make a seperate site to be included, and those who make a free site through whatever source we point them to, or they find on their own, would simply have to add the appropriate URL to their profile.

Seems to me it would save one person a LOT of typing when there are a thousand or so members. It may not be as formatted on a site to site basis (in fact not at all), but it would be cool to be able to browse the list for easy reference, and impressive to see a huge collection of personal pages in one spot.

Am I making any sense? I sometimes confuzzel myself.

Hey, I never noticed this smilie until just now! :yinyang:

Take care,
