88 n/a for a conquest/starion?

so anyway i currently rock an 88 n/a as my daily beater it's got a reman motor with 20k on it, a rebuilt trans with like 10k on it, a brand new clutch, full exhaust (headers back), intake, 17's, no emissions, premix only, and it runs pretty well gets about 17mpg city/23mpg highway (if not more then that). just put some new 225/45r17's on the rear need to replace the fronts soon tho.
now that the background is done, ive been seeing a bunch of decent conquest/starions popping up in my area recently for attainable prices. most look pretty nice but i dont know much about the 2.6 motor in them. i know the car is pretty quick but it is an 80's mitsu/chrysler so im not sure about quality.
anyone with any input on it? how's their mileage? is the engine strong or after 100k am i going to be driving around scared?
and of course, would you trade a decent n/a which pulls nicely (working 6ports too woo) for a conquest/starion?
kevin.

You're best friend NoPistons had one, I got a ride in it when I went to his house, pretty cool.
But it's mitsubishi, you'll be trading one headache you just got ahead of for another, but I think that depends on the condition of the vehicle.
Find a good Starion forum?
Didn't Vosko have one?

they have like no resale

yea i dunno i cruised around and you can find some cheapies for like $2k but lots online wanted like $4k for it.
I'm still sure their revival is coming soon i figured id get one before it was a fad and then resell it in a few years for a nice profit lol.
but yea after reading about them more indepth ill stick with my n/a for now, at least i know most of the problems with 7's lol. plus id be too tempted to modify the starion cause it's turbo...which is why i got this n/a in the first place. oh and it seems lots of those cars are autos.

Yeah like out here i every time i read the paper to check prices for the hell of it I always check fc's, starions, AE86's, and Isuzu Impulses.. and they fluctuate.. I guess car oriented people know its worth a tad more so they hike the price.. but other people who just see it as transportation sell em checp due to the hassle.. I've found some as low as 1k here.. but i bet its because the problems are becoming very aparent..
