Holy crap, we're gonna be without counter tops for 6 to 8 weeks!!! Fuggin suks, I am going to cut a temporary top out of MDF.

Granite? Has you taken leave of your senses? They've got perfectly good imitation stone that looks just as nice. Lasts longer too. And gives a pretty good BJ. And takes out the trash.

Corian costs as much as granite, actually they are the exact same price per foot, it doesn't hold up as well, it can scratch and gouge, of course their answer to that is refinishing.



The only thing that is "cheap" at this point is formica and it sucks if you plan on staying in the house.



I like the look of both granite and quartz, but all in all I like the granite best. Plus it's cool having something thousands of years old in your house!
