what would be better, a 2nd gen T2 with about 8-10 thousand in mods, or a 3rd. gen twin turbo with about 2-4 thousand in mods?

depends on what u want, the 2nd gen in those cases would rape the 3rd gen. Mostly a style thing.

so its basicly 8 thousand more for looks and 50 hp? sounds like the 2nd gen would be better to mod then. but once i get more cash you think if i got the 3rd gen. it'd be faster or are they about the same once you mod the hell outta em?

The suspension is better, but if you modify a 2nd gen suspension alot you can do better.

Oops! You need to make the inbox hold more messages, like on the old board, you could have like 1000. Well, at least I got somthing for free. Too bad it isn't a new turbo.
