12A 48ida bridgeport...mpg's
#1
OK working at picking up a VW bug that is rotary powered. Has a 12A with bridgeport porting and running a 48ida. I'm looking at bumping fuel economy up to the 20mpg range with this setup. power will still be more than a VW powerplant but need 20mpg to make the cost justification. Park my diesel and run the rotary bug.
Is 20mpg possible for this motor if I change carbies or is the porting what is killing me?
TIA,
Jason

if you want fuel economy the rotary is NOT for you im affraid. we where at something like 10mph on the racer with just a standard street port na. sorry dude, but then agian there may be a few out there who say other wise. cool sounding little car though
