** When You Order Tires Through Tirerack.com.....
#33
I just changed the back 2 tires for my FD; 275/35/18's.... Toyo Proxes $468 installed at a Discount Tires:cry: (TireRack was ~$212-230 each before shipping so it comes out almost the same for me)
I still remember the days when my old '90 civic's tires were $200 for all 4 @ costco..
*sigh*

Ok no!!!! tire rack and discount tire are and will always be 2 seperate companies... Also tire rack has never sold nitto....... As fitment goes its just a prewarning they are told to give cuz of stupid purchases over the net since it started....... Lane change about the only thing i would disagree with you is cost between the 2 i like dt prices a little better..... But i have been dealing with both companies for over 6 years as a retailer..... Both good companies and take very good care of there customers......

How can you compare prices....look at their wholesale catalogs....DT is generally a good $5-10 more for almost every tire that they both sell. BFG's, Kumho, etc...plus they do not provide the free shipping to dealers like they do with regular customers. So sometimes their prices have been cheaper for a regular customer off the street than they are with a dealer cost. When DT sold the 225-50-16 Nitto 555R's at year for $62 shipped to customers and I bought them for $49 plus shipping which put them up to around $58 shipped, that is a crappy deal for me. How do I justify selling tires to people when they can buy them for almost the same that I can? TR on the other hand does offer better prices and I can actually buy and sell their tires for a normal markup and not rip people off. I also find their Customer Service to be a bit better.

TireRack always seems to have a deal just when i need some tires!
Those jokers should be coming to my house tomorrow, and I need to pass inspection since like over a month ago...
Costco and Sams tires can kiss my butt! sure they have them for ~$30 a tire, but you gotta pay extra to mount them, deal with their limited selection and wait for like 2 hours to get them installed...never again for me!

I See were your coming from but when you deal with them long enough you get even better deals than most dealers do..... You know how it goes the more you buy the more you save....... Youcant beat tr for help and dealing with but when your average person calls in to either one they dont talk to the same people i do as a dealer........
