Rotor Mania car show in Ct
#1
Rotor Mania August 1, 2009
Rotor Mania will be held at...
Modern Motors
68 Waterbury Rd.
Thomaston, Connecticut. 06787
August 1st, 2009
Time: 10am – 4:30pm
Modern Motors is the longest operating Mazda dealership in CT 36 years strong! Family owned and operated by the same family the entire 36 years.
Modern Motors was very receptive when I called. I was invited to see the facilities and I spoke to the owner. The owner used to own a yellow rotary pickup and the last twin turbo RX-7 to land in the U.S. Unfortunately he sold both cars
Here are a few things we are having…
Mini car show
Categories we are working on...
Best Mazda Rotary 70's
Best Mazda Rotary 80's
Best Mazda Rotary 90's
Best Mazda Rotary 2000's
Best Mazda Rotary Under Construction
Best of show Mazda Rotary
All participants in the car show will receive a free t-shirt and 10% off any parts purchased that day. The winner of the show (Best of Show) will get a $100 Modern Motors gift card (to be used towards parts, accessories, service...etc).
Due to members of VMRC participating in the car show, I have asked if the Mazda employees can judge the show. If not I will seek a third party to judge. I want this to be fair with no favoritism.
Breast Cancer Research 50/50 Raffle $2 per ticket 50% goes to Breast Cancer Research and the other 50% goes to the winner.
UPDATE:
I asked the head of internet and marketing sales at Mazda to pick a panel of judges for the show.
They will have a representative from Mazda sales, parts, service adviser and 2 technicians. They are also making up the 10% off coupons for the participants as well as shirts.
The cars will be judged on 0 - 10 point system on each category...
Body Work, Paint, Engine, Interior, Cleanliness, and Overall score.
Total points possible will be 60 points. So make sure you cover all these categories. I want this to be very competitive so when you win it will really mean something.
Come down we will have a nice time
