hello everyone im gonna fit a rx7 engine in my jet boat as it needs a new engine if anybody has any opinions about this even if you lot would just say its sacrelidguos then please say so thanks ps the reason for this is my jet boat had a crappy escort engine in and the jet drive is a direct impellor connected to the crank of the motor the normal running speed for this jet drive is about 5 to 6 thousand rpm an thats probly why the old pinto escort engine is no more cos i dont think they were designed to run at them revs all day long but the rx7 engine should handle this no probs from what i read about them plus they are smoother than a pinto at running that will be easyer on the bairings on the jet drive and lighter and smaller.the engine im getting is still in the car and i havnt got it yet but is being arranged it looks like an old car lol and i think has a carberretter and has done about 60 thousand miles and runs good im told it has a old type electronic ignition im told with a cdi box im worryed about having to take half of the cars loom to get this working so any help with making this work as small as possible and not in the car ,, in my boat would be a help like what would i need to do basically to get a spark lol . im still wondering to wether use a radiator and have its own coolent system or use the water it sucks up if they have a cooling problem ill maybee use the water it sucks up but if they dont have a problem with overheating ill use a radiator that way i think is best so i can fill it full ov antifreeze . please help thanks anyone ,, stuart

haha, cool idea but you suck at punctuation. throwing in a period here and a couple of commas there doesnt cut it.

they actually made a rotary jet boat, it was a 2 rotor with a blower on it. you should call cam at pettit if you have questions, he didn't make it, he just got it for a steal from some guy cause the motor was blown. it was pretty cool!

well i have got the doner car now its a 1984 or 85 rx7 without a turbo. i think for now its just what i need till its all done then maybe think about putting a turbo engine in as nowadays they are coming very cheap an common. i think its a 2.3 engine with 2 rotors it runs and has done about 140 thousand miles apparently it was rebuilt and retipped 9000 miles ago. when i start it it smokes a bit an seems to have very little oil in it.

but i guess thats what can be expected and thats as far as ive got upto now. ill update whats happend as i get on but at the moment its just all planning as i really just dont know where to start. any tips and info on what to not do or do in the process of taking this engine and ancillerys out of this car and fitting in a boat would be much appreciated and also how do i contact this camm person. does he have a email please thanks.
