Damn. I wanted to do that.. If I am not Mistaken.. That guy on Ricemobile.net has a friend and they did that swap on his truck.. They also did the IRS from an FC.

The bellhousing is the same for a 13B and 20B, right?

Judge Ito had a rotary truck (B2200 or B2600, I think)..you could always ask him about the swap.

older mazda p/u's you have to swap the bellhousing and grind the input shaft down about 1/2 inch. after that the easiest way to get a 13b in there is to put a 12a cover and a gslse oil pan. with the 12a cover the motormount brackets are up front, making it easy to fab a mount. :bigok:

I thought it was the B2000, but the B2600 fits?

So is this transmission superior (stronger) than the TurboII tranny?

Where does one get a Bellhousing? I didn't know the RX had a removable bellhousing.

the actuall mounts an stuff i think are the same between b2000/b2600

the b2600 has a turbo 2 style tranny, mazda has 3 rwd designs, the m box (78-91 na rx7s, 78-93 b2k/b2.2k trucks, miata) and the r box (70-78rx cars, turbo 2, fd, b2600, 89-91mpv, 929 etc), and the p box (ford)

the r boxes have a removable bellhousing, the cheapest route at this point is to get a used jdm t2 tranny ($100-350) and use that bellhousing
