i plan on installing a midpipe and catback in a few weeks, right before i go to the strip. i doubt i'll have time to port the wastegate before going to the strip, and i was worried about boost spike w/ the midpipe and a non-ported wastegate for a few runs. should just leave the midpipe off until i port the wastegate? since i have a PFC (able to control boost), i would think it would be fine for a few days as long as i didn't up the boost with the commander, right? i will have more than enough time to port the wastegate after the races, so that is definitely going to get done. i just don't want to take any chances with my engine while i'm pushing it hard. TIA
mods so far: downpipe, and one lardass sitting in the driver's seat trying to lose weight.

thanks for the input guys. I just have a limited amount of time before i go to the strip (less than 2 days), and i didn't want to start something that i couldn't finish in time.

I have intake, D.P., M.P., Racing Beat cat back(which is pretty conservative as far as exhausts are concerned) and a PFC. I was worried about the same issues so I turned the boost down to like .70 from .85 and I turned the wastegate cycle % setting (can't remember what it's called) way down also. Mine has CREPT to like .94. no noticeable spikes though. KAHREN has a set up for this problem but I haven't decided between that or a pop off valve yet. just thought I'd let you know.
