Well, my cars been down for a bit now, took it to the rx-7 store and they still haven't looked at it. I have very little patience to let someone who looks and works on cars fulltime not to get to a vehicle within a months period. Main reason it was there was because my friend was working on it, but he's not going to have time to for a while and i'd like to get it going before july. So, im going to have the car taken back home. That being said, this is the problem.

The whole reason I took it up there was because the car is having a no-spark issue. I can't get ANY spark period. Nothing is sparking anywhere, and I am not sure where to look. Problem is, the car had Haltech in it before. Mix that with the fact was also an automatic changed to five speed and you put a lot of problems all in one boat. Does anyone here happen to know what things I would check for from the haltech that would or could possibly cause my no sparking issue? I'd appreciate it greatly as im at my wits end and if i can't get the car to work soon, im just going to sell what i've got and pick something else up. I didn't buy the car knowing it was an auto prior which screwed me over big time, so my frustration with the car is at an alltime high and I haven't even got it to start yet. Anyways, if someone, anyone, could point me in the right direction as to where to check/what lines on the ecu wiring harness i should look at I would be greatly appreciative.

i'd almost guarantee the problem is in the wiring going to the ignitor... THOSE wires are spliced during a haltech install.. Look there.

crank the motor with the laptop on, and look at the rpms on the screen. it should show 180-220rpms cranking

There I said it. Can you show me a link to go to so I can read up on how to find one? The ones I keep finding are just ads for one.

goto radioshack and buy one they are cheap umm? maybe they have a basic electronics book. everything on a car is 12V so that is how much power should be on power wires. continuity is for testing the whole wire is good and where it is going. it sends a beep through the line. the continuity part is kinda hard to explain though. i'm no electrical wiz and i've only wired up one microtech and it sucked lol

anyone else out there have any suggestions as things i need to check? I might pick up a pfc at the end of the month im not sure yet as i know once i get my car running i will be needing to get things running correctly and the stock ecu just won't cut it.

But any of you haltech people, what wires are cut when you do this install? As far as spark is concerned? If someone could just list what things are usually spliced into or what not I can go ahead and start tracing from there instead of ripping everything apart and trying to blindly figure out what the deal is.
