550 Cc Hi Imp Pri, 1600 Cc Low Imp Secondary
#1
Does the haltech need to be configured to tell it that the secondary are low imp while the primaries are hi imp?
Thanks
Jason
i'm looking at the INput/output page of the Haltech E6K dos screen.
What should i configure.
The injectors are wired up such that each injector sees the 12V common and then each injector has its own wire going to it. So each are on their own channel (if i have my terminology correct) basically it's wired up according to the BDC install guide.
Thanks
Jason

You don't have to tell the haltech anything, it figures it out on its own. But you cannot mix and match between sets, ie: a low 550 prim/ high 550prim fyi.
I was under the (apparently false) impression that the Haltech could handle high impedance primaries and low impedance secondaries.
Boy, am I glad I just ordered the high impedance 750's from RC Eng.

Notice what the man said. A combo of one high and one low PRIMARY is not ok. A combo of two high imp PRIMARIES and two low imp SECONDARIES or vice versa is perfectly fine. I think but am not sure that you can even run any mix on an E6X but its not recommended. The E6X allows you to select the type of injector on each driver (4 total).
Note that driving high impedance injectors is trivial for an ECU, thus the haltech has no setting for that. It has two different LOW impedance settings: a 4amp peak / 1 amp hold and an 8amp peak / 2 amp hold. There are restrictions on how many injectors you can run off each driver in each configuration. Please read the manual CAREFULLY to detail this if you plan to run 8amp low impedance injectors. Otherwise, set them all to 4amp and plug away!

Yes, the Haltech manual is very clear on warning against mixing saturated and peak/hold injectors on the same injector driver.
