Finally 10's On Stock Twins(non-seq)
#1
Well guys ....just got back from Atco and finally menaged to squeeze a 10 from the baby(tired) twins
Made two passes and after that the guy said:
"You're too deep in the 11's without proper safety equipment!!!"-
Here's the slips:
1st run:
60'= 1.576
330= 4.611
1/8= 7.135 @ 97.59mph
990= 9.270
1/4= 11.182 @ 120.35
2nd run=:
60'= 1.488 <==Yes, on ET streets !!
330= 4.492
1/8= 6.986 @98.38 mph
990= 9.087
1/4= 10.988 @ 121.68 mph
Drove there on ET streets and raced w/ 1/2 tank of gas.
Power FC logs showed boost hitting 1.15kg/cm2(max) and dropping down to 1.12kg/cm2 by 6.4krpm with A/Fs in the 10.6-10.70......all across.
A/F's were 10.8-11.0 last night......not sure were all that extra fuel came from.....at least very safe.
At least I got few domestic guys around the car asking alot of questions......they were impressed with the little motor .

Congrats John!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was sleeping and RX794/Jose alerted me on the nextel and said "Ant, guess what John ran" I responded "He did it?" lol
I know you have really been trying and you have finally done it!
The fact that you ran 10s on the stock twins is impressive alone but the fact that you did it with the following challenges below, makes it even more impressive!
1. boost dropping
2. stock gearing
3. nothing fancy in the suspension
4. a stock wiring harness (no expensive standalone)
5. bone stock twins with high miles
6. ET streets (considered street tires)
7. full bodied with full interior, nice one too..
8. drove to the track, ran 10s, drove back home.
9. Rich A/F ratios
Imagine if BNR sponsored a set of their turbos, you get the 4.33s, improve the suspension and maybe improve on 60ft, use drag slicks instead of street, lighten the car....hmmmmmm 10.50's?
I think your car would make a FANTASTIC writeup for Turbo Mag/Sport Compact Car etc.
Congrats again John!
I guess you can finally sleep now
So next question....WHAT'S NEXT?
