anyone gone through this process...
looks like it may be a time consuming ordeal...
from what i understand..im required to acquire a letter from the manufacturer stating it meets US requirements....to present at the port of entry...customs
it must also be certified by the EPA for emission control...
pay the entry tax...

just got off the phone with customs, njdmv and mazda...
its a serious paperwork ordeal and deals with EPA and DOT...
Customs require a manufacturer letter stating availability for import to the US..this will take at least 7 business days...
clean title..notorized bill of sale along with the duty tax will be required a tport of entry....
this only takes care of the entrance to the US...
it does NOT clear your state laws...this is where DOT, EPA, etc....comes in...
i was also told that each state has varying laws about what your required to do with the conversion of your dash to english units from metric...
