R1:

Dual oil coolers

Same springs but different shock settings (stiffer)

Larger front air-dam

Rear spoiler standard

'Z' rated tires were standard

Factory shock tower brace

No fog lights

No cruise

No rear wiper or sun roof

No leather seats, you got suede-cloth (so your butt won't slip)

Basically, R1 was less bling but more performance oriented.

Just for clarification, I was talking about the 93 model year differences. Sorry if I didn't understand the original question correctly.

And yeah, 93 had the #%&$* smooth plastic... that scratchs if you look at it wrong.

No **** ....so I got the passenger side handle replaced and it came with a grain.

The rest of the car was slick except that it is scratching apart. Now I know why ....

I thought something was F d up.And then I see my R1 was made in 1992 calender year.(on the vin)12 years old with 85,000 miles.
