Well Im Past The 6 Month Mark.

Well, my car has been down for over 6 months now. I was just wondering if ya'll get as depressed as I do during down time? I blew a seal in the rear rotor, couldnt control boost between shifts with the auto. I was trying to sell the car at the time, so I could get a manual. But, now im stuck with doing the conversion and rebuilding the motor. I have spent odles of money. But have also saved a ton by letting P'colaFD (great guy!) rebuild the engine, along with me helping as much as I can.
During the down time I've had the turbos rebuilt, upgraded to supra TT pump, cleaned injectors, full non sequential, streetport, removed airpump and emissions, and upgraded to the Haltech. I have also got all the parts for the manual conversion. The engine is finally biult. I bought new rotor housings, front housing (porting accident) , replaced e shaft, replaced one rotor, new apex seals and springs, new o ring kit. All we have left to do is figure out the wiring for the conversion and the Haltech. Which seems to be the hardest part.
Exterior, I have removed the Veilside kit Went back to the stock look. But, I painted my wheels black and calipers red. Looks good to me and was cheaper than buying knew wheels.
Im hoping to make the May 17th dyno day at Pettit, but dunno. Hoping for around 320-330rwhp at 14psi. I often worry of if it will ever run again. Sorry for the long post, just thought I would share my testimony of the FD addiction. Someone give me some encourage that it will run again.

It sucks not having the FD- even for a single week. Like when that on ramp begs for the 130 mph launch onto the freeway or when you gun it in traffic in your girls car and it's just not there. I miss my Fd - But when she's done- She's gonna be NASTY

I hear ya. Mine has been exactly 6 months today!
I drove it a few blocks to the dealer for a repair, and 2 hours home from the shop. So I have driven my car, but both times I was creeping along and couldn't have any fun.
I will be a couple more weeks at least while I install my Haltech. I'm labelling wires right now!
Went to watch my car club run an autocross today, the lot is still dirty and still has melting snowbanks, so at least I can justify. I would leave it in the garage yet, anyway.
There was a supercharged 4-cam Cobra there just begging for a beating, though!

Don't feel too bad I've been having problems on and off for the past 3 months and I own a TII. It's all good though because when you get it back and get it tuned correctly you will love it. I know your pain with the haltch install because I just went threw one myself. Remember that you must be patient with the tuning process. At first it may seem like a pain, but when it's done right you will forget about all the pain and heartache. BTW keepin mind that the estimated install time of a haltech by a pro is about 10 hours and it ussually takes about 4 days for them to tune it correctly. Keep your head up man. It will be back soon and will run better than ever before.
