When trying to take the damn pulley off, i accidentely broke a little pieace. Now, the belt doesn't go over it very well. My question is can i drive my car for some time without this belt before i get a new pulley. I know the steering will be hard, because it's not hydraulic anymore, but will i damage anything?

Also, it's winter and i don't use my a/c.

thanks guys
