it couldn't have worked to well for them. In the very last update to project rx-7 they stated that they blew the motor. Bad apex seal I think, I forgot I'll have to dig up that article. Anyways they're rebuilding now.
Rebuilding now? Shouldnt they have finished the rebuild like a year or so ago?

They took the engine to SR Motorsports I belive. They were talking a triple K single turbo and a ported engine but that never happened. I think they just got bored with the Fd project.

It's been quite a while since they last spoke about it.

thats what i have been saying. i have been waiting for the next part of their single turbo set up from SR. maybe the guy who owns the car ran out of cash or bought an impreza or something. if i recall they didnt blow the apex seal, the coolant was disappearing so they needed a rebuild.

I think your right, It was a coolant leak. I remember them saying how they overheated it on the track.

Ok, so no one has tried to set up a knock sensor into the boost controller like that? Anybody have any opinions on the setup? I thought it sounded pretty cool, it seems like it would work, but I don't know.

actually they had a coolant seal go bad on the #2 rotor i believe. the article was all about the stipdown of the motor. it was in the scc with the yellow R34 from the first F&F on the cover.

You won't need the Knock Sensor if you use your PFC to control boost

I've thought this was a good idea since I first saw it.

Some guys have had nuisance readings from the J&S, which would drive you crazy, though.

I just re-read that one. The boost cut takes place after the timing has been retarded more than 5 degrees.
