My buddy picked up an fd that is in need of some tlc. When he got it, the car was generating no boost. After talking to me, I told him he could either try and redo all the vacuum hoses, or go non-sequential and eliminate all the bs. I helped him do the "poor man's" non-sequential mod. Afterwe got it all abck together, there is still no boost. The car is definately louder from full exhaust flow all the time, but themost boost I saw was .02 on the pfc. When he gets on it I can kind of hear the turbos whinning, but they aren't doing anything. We tried using the ore-control solnoid instead to see if it changed anything, but nothing. Feels like te wastegate is just stuck open. Sequential operation is selected of on the pfc and I even tried jacking the duty cycle up with no change. I told him his bestbet was to make sure he has all the hoses right, and if not that then replace the wastegate control solnoid. If not that, then I would suspect the turbos themselves.

leak in the intake plumbing?

speed/density so it will still run with vac leaks, but boost won't build with a leak big enough.

really dumb question, is the map sensor hooked to the right place? with a dp cb, and mp it should be at like 15psi no problem

I don't hear any boost leaks. That was my first thought. I'm pretty familiar with the rx-7 turbo system, its just been while since I had the twins.

I agree, your problem is in the wastegate solonoid or the actuator itself. Make sure that the actuator rod isn't stuck. There is nothing else involving boost control or any leak points. Im assuming that you cheaked the "y" pipe couplers for breaks/blown off etc...?
