This is what I want and I'll gladly shut up:

1) A refund of the purchase price plus the $5 I spent shipping it out the first time plus the shipping cost to send it back. OR

2) A replacement pedestal that isn't comprimised in the area circled in my first picture. I'll just live with the crappy looks or have it polished myself to get it back to looking "trick" or "snazzy" as I said (because I feel it is far from snazzy now). We can just agree to disagree on that subject. All I ask is I not be out the shipping cost for sending my current pedestal back.

I don't think that is too much to ask. Some may but I do not...

Please check you PM's

woah...my $0.02 of pics at the beginning of this thread. it would have sealed fine, as for the Trick look...who can see it after it is installed and has a filter on it.

anyone not happy with their unit. PM me, I'll send my shipping address

5 months, it stayed back getting fixed for over a month. And no e-mails or follow ups. I had to pm you to find out what was taking so long.

None the less, that was plenty of time that you could have expressed your "feelings" on the pedestal not being polished in the first place. As I said before the pedestals were sent directly to the manufacturer for the upgrade, not me, I had no idea who chose to send their pedestals and those chose not. The only way I found out who chose to send their pedestals were those asking the status of the pedestals, which I did the best I could with and when the information was supplied to me to keep everyone up to date with the progress.

Also if I saw a picture of the one I have now, I wouldn't have signed up for the group buy. Sorry but I feel like it is a little bit of false advertizement.

That is a bold statement to make since you voluntarily sent your pedestal for the upgrade to the manufacturer, knowing there would be changes made to the current design and/or appearance. I do not appreciate false claims, no where in the advertisement or during the group buy was the pedestal mentioned or being offered as polished, hence the reason they are advertised as billet, not polished.

Your options are posted above, so you will not be stuck with the current pedestal.

The blockage in the center was caused by the welding of the center post. If you believe that's not defective, then I'd hate to see what you believe is defective.

You need to be careful, I never said the blockage was not defective, what is not defective is the fact the filter shaft is welded to the base, which is clearly stated in the manufacturers upgrade statement.

This upgrade involves the permanent attachment of the filter thread and/or the banjo fitting on the replacement oil pedestal you purchased.

Regarding where to direct complaints, obviously I'm going to direct them to the person that should take responsibility. Here, that person is you. You contracted for the manufacture of these items, and you retailed them via this forum. Attempting to pass all responsibility to MRC is pathetic.

Unfortunately, you've made it clear that you will do nothing other than ask MRC to clean up this debacle. At least they seem to be making an effort to correct the situation.

The "debacle" arose because of the update released and conducted by the manufacturer, so claiming I am passing all responsibility to the manufacturer or claiming I am doing "nothing" to correct the matter is ridiculous. Billy is aware of my dissatisfaction with the outcome of the upgrade and we discussed what could be done to fix the situation; the options are now available to you.

I'm careful to preserve my legal and equitable options. You said in post #26, "This was apart of the upgrade, welding the center post and external bung, you part is not defective." If you really meant that the concept of welding the shaft to the base is not defective, then you should have stated that, or worded your own response more carefully.

MRC has offered a solution that satisfies me. I'd like to thank them for standing behind the product and resolving the issue. As for you, I suppose that I can thank you for the extensive efforts you made to supply MRC's phone number.

Vosko & jspec, I'm checking out of this thread unless I need to respond to eyecandy.

damn, some people must never see any CUSTOM work done.

that part looked fine, and honestly, think about where the pedistal is. Due to it's location the bling factor is seriously reduced.

i would have put it on my car...

Hey Bobby, artowar's piece did look pretty bad though. The welds did NOT look professional at all. I KNOW you know what good welds look like.

Yay, I never sent mine back. To think this all started over one peice. I thought it was great to offer the voluntary fix but saw no need with only one failure.
