i was at kd rotary today checking on my car. i was pissed cause its been so damn long to get my car back from them(they were swapping out my motor for a reman). i was talking to one of the mechanics and he told me that mazda stopped manufacturing remans. he said it was a huge problem because there are about 15 cars there waiting for a motor that mazda isnt building. is anyone being affected by this?

Everyone is effected by this. Malloy has about 30 people on hold for engines. I personally know of two guys who are on the list. Hopefully this all means mazda is trying to make more renesis so they can get a green light on a new engine building plant.

Wow that really sucks guys, how long will they be obligated to keep production on the parts, isn’t it like 10 years or something like that after the last car rolls off the production line?

I guess it is a good thing I have a extra good engine just sitting just incase.

I wouldn't worry about it much there are plenty of RX7 parts to last a life time already on the market.

Hardly. Mazda is back to pushing the rotary so hard they're probably hard up for production time. There's talk the next Miata will have a rotary too.

They still have to produce parts for the FD for another 5-6 years anyway, and they must do a good trade in the older engine parts, with how many 7's get used in IT racing for SCCA.
