removing the PS belt and retaining the system is VERY VERY VERY diffrerent than no PS system in the car
with the pump and lines and everything still there, and the system not doing anything, you have to run everything through itself
with everything out you dont have to push the fluid through it all it just swishes in the rack
mike take both off and dont worry about hte belt...take the plate off , cut hte lines

I removed my P/S belt just to see how's it going to feel. I didn't like it at all it was so hard to turn the wheels. Now my question is, if i removed it all together and just pluged the lines on the rack, will it be easier to turn the wheels then? I had a manual rack on the FC and it didn't seem that hard at all, If it's going to be like that I would very much like to remove it.

So will it be like the manual rack or not? Also do i just loop the two lines together or plug them up?

the proper way to do it would be to take out the lines and everything adn on the rack itself where the lines go you would cap them with bolts so they dont leak out
theres a writeup by me in the 2nd gen FAQ section...its pretty much the same procedure but maybe different bolt sizes...confirm with FD guys

oh and mike... cruise control couldnt be easier...just disconnect it from the TB and unbolt the box from the engine bay...it comes right out
theres also an ecu box under the steering wheel
